These ancestors were returned to the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan on August 25, 2022.

On October 4, 2017, human remains were found in the Michigan State University’s Forensic Anthropology Laboratory.

This individual was not originally listed on MSU's NAGPRA inventory, as they were not associated with the MSU Museum but with the Forensic Anthropology Lab. In 2019, it was decided to condense our efforts and only have one department providing NAGPRA listings.

The only documentation is the skeletal inventory form.
