On an unknown date, human remains were discovered on a farm that was originally a Native American cemetery. Paul Wynn, the property owner, gave the remains to Eugene Davis. Mr. Davis then gave the remains to the Chamberlain Memorial Museum, which was located in Three Oaks, Michigan. In 1916, the Chamberlain Memorial Museum was founded by Mr. Edward K. Warren. Mr. Warren named the Museum after Henry Chamberlain, his father‐in‐law. In September of 1952, Michigan State College Museum (now the Michigan State University Museum) acquired the contents of the Chamberlain Memorial Museum from Fred P. Warren, President of the Board of Trustees of the E. K. Warren Foundation.
