Utah

We have 20 objects listed as from Utah. None are obvious funerary objects based on our available documentation. They are listed below by the cultural affiliation listed in our records; it is unclear who made these determinations, so we are happy to consult, refine, and correct them as needed.

Ancestral Pueblo

We have 2 objects attributed to Ancestral Pueblo groups from an unknown location in Utah: a stone pendant carved in the shape of an animal head, and a bone awl.

We have 9 objects attributed to Ancestral Pueblo groups from San Juan County, Utah. These include: bone awls, a turquoise pendant, mortar baskets (baskets woven from yucca fibers around wooden splints), and a strap of a sandal.

Pauite

We have a seed jar basket and a woven fiber water canteen (also used for seed storage) that are both attributed to the Pauite.

Not Yet Culturally Affiliated

We have 2 stone idols from Kane County. We also have a sandal and a grooved axe from San Juan County. Finally, we have a stone idol and a clay animal effigy (attributed to Basket Maker) from an unknown location in Utah.
