California

We have records for 212 objects and archaeological collections from California. Of these, 6 are listed as either from a mound or a burial: a harpoon and awl from Johnston Mound, Sacramento County; a mortar "From burial, Santa Barbara Islands, California"; two worked antler fragments from All Horn(?) mound, California; and a lot of three fishooks noted as from a mound somewhere in California. 

Object types include: abalone shell pendants, adze, awls, axe, baby carrier, baskets, burden basket, bone objects, bowls, ceremonial dance stick, dagger, effigy, flute, grooved stone, halter, handle, harpoon, pestles, pipes and pipe stems (catlinite and other materials), various implements, jade plummets and pendants, jadeite beads, lithics, manos, metates, needles, net sinkers, pendants, plugs, plummets, sandstone pallet, scoop, seeds, shell gorget, soil samples, stone rings, vessels, weights, and some archaeological collections. 

While many are just listed as from California, we also have objects specifically from the following counties: Butte, Calaveras, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Los Angeles, Mendocino, Monterey, Napa, Orange, Sacramento, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Siskiyou, Solano, Sonoma, Tuolumne, Ventura, and Yolo. 

We also have archaeological collections from a Klamath River survey (unknown counties).
