South Dakota

We have 20 objects listed as from South Dakota. Approximately half have a tentative cultural affiliation listed. The rest have yet to be culturally affiliated with anyone.

Crow

We have two metal arrowheads believed to be affiliated with the Crow.

Oglala Sioux

We have three objects, all purportedly "made by Sitting Bull": a bow, an elk head carved out of horn, and a catlinite bar with engraved diamond motif (this is listed as from Pine Ridge specifically).

Sioux

We have two catlinite pipes and a metal arrowhead attributed to the "Sioux" more generally.

Most are from South Dakota more generally, but some were also collected from the following counties: Davison, Hanson, Jerauld, and Moody.
